Working with many old pictures required creative layouts and retouching to ensure a high print quality.

Throughout this section, I had beautiful black and white images to work with. With a more formal tone and classic aesthetic, this explored Cambodia’s tumultuous past and the effect that had on the Van family.

Each chapter introduction contains double spread images to ensure consistency throughout the book with chapters of varying content.

A different tone to the rest of the book, the last chapter explored the best dishes from the past 10 years. Only allowed one spread per year, I created layouts that look generous with space with beautiful type setting yet heavy in content.
